In short

Who is responsible for your information

McGarry Consult runs this consultation and is the data controller for the responses. You can contact us about anything in this notice at info@mcgarryconsult.com.

What we collect

What you tell us when you share a view:

Please don't put personal details in your comment, such as names, phone numbers or addresses, whether yours or anyone else's. Comments that include them may be held back or removed.

Collected automatically:

We don't use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don't track you across other websites.

How we use it, and why we're allowed to

We use responses to understand what people value about the area, what could be better and what needs fixing, and to report those findings to help shape plans and improvements. Age band and connection help us check whether we've heard from a broad range of people.

Our lawful basis under UK data protection law is legitimate interests: we have a legitimate interest in gathering local views to inform plans for the area. We keep what we collect to a minimum, don't ask for anything that directly identifies you, and taking part is voluntary.

Who can see it

We don't sell your information or use it for marketing.

Other services your browser connects to

To show the map, your browser fetches map images, fonts and code from other services, which will see your IP address as part of that:

How long we keep it

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to us using it, and to ask us to restrict how we use it. The easiest is usually to ask us to remove your view.

Because we don't collect names, we'll need help finding your response. Email info@mcgarryconsult.com with the wording of your comment, roughly where you pinned it, and roughly when you posted it.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Children

Young people's views matter too. If you're under 13, please ask a parent or carer before taking part. Whatever your age, please don't include anything in your comment that could identify you.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use responses, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
